Great Turnout for Track Day

Although the Track Day was planned as an open event with unlimited entrants, we hoped for a maximum of 30 cars.  Having only 22 actually register in advance, we definitely thought that maybe eight more would show up on the day of.  Instead a whopping 27 more showed up and admittedly we were unprepared for the vast group.  This was truly an unusual circumstance and almost never happens, but we managed to get everyone on the track with plenty of seat time for those that wanted it.  It turned out to be fun, safe and a good time for all those that attended and stuck it out.  Due to electrical failure in the entire area, the PA system became useless when it came to announcing run groups; but yet the racers still stuck it out.

We are happy with the way the open track day turned out, but definitely wish to rent the track again for a members-only meet limited to a maximum of 20 cars.  The unexpected influx has not discouraged us from hosting an open track day again; as we will include it in our schedule again.  However, we will be ready for 50 cars next time.  We look forward to receiving all feedback, so please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
